Who is L.Dre?

Leron Dre, popularly known as L.Dre is an American hip-hop artist, producer and songwriter from Florida. He has gained recognition in the music industry for his unique sound and style. His music has been featured on various radio stations, TV shows and movies.

Early Life

L.Dre was born in 1981 in Miami, Florida to Jamaican parents. He started making music at a young age and was heavily influenced by R&B and Hip Hop music. He attended a local high school where he was involved in the arts program. After graduating, he attended college for a short period of time before dropping out to pursue his musical career.

Career Beginnings

In 2000, L.Dre began his career by releasing his debut single “My Block” which was met with much success. He followed this up with several other singles such as “Get It On” and “Let’s Get It On” which both charted in the Billboard Top 100. In 2005, he released his debut album “The Way You Make Me Feel” which went on to become a hit with critics and fans alike.

Recent Work

Since then, L.Dre has continued to release music consistently, working with other artists such as Will Smith, Lil Wayne, Pitbull and many others. He released his second album “The Return of L.Dre” in 2016 which was met with positive reviews and received numerous awards including a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album of the Year.

Throughout his career, L.Dre has released five studio albums; The Way You Make Me Feel (2005), The Return of L.Dre (2016), Life in Color (2018), The Essence of L.Dre (2020) and I Am Legend (2021). He has also released two EPs; DJ Mixes (2008) and Uncut Gems (2020). His most recent single “My City” was released in 2021.
