Lena Meyer-Landrut is a German singer, songwriter and voice actress. She achieved international recognition as the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010. Lena was born on May 23, 1991 in Hannover, Germany. Her mother is a costume designer and her father is an architect. Lena has two siblings, Annika and Niklas.

Career Start & Eurovision Win

At the age of 18, Lena auditioned for the fifth season of the German TV talent show Unser Star für Oslo (Our Star for Oslo) with the song ""My Same"". She ended up winning the competition and represented Germany at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. Lena won both jury and public votes with her performance of ""Satellite"", earning 246 points overall. This win made her the youngest winner of the contest since 1990.

Music Releases & Other Projects

In August 2010, Lena released her first EP My Cassette Player featuring the songs ""Satellite"", ""Love Me"" and ""Bee"". Her debut album My Same followed shortly after in November 2010. The album was certified Platinum in Germany for selling over 500,000 copies. Since then she has released three additional studio albums: Good News (2011), Stardust (2012) and Crystal Sky (2015). In 2018, she released a new single titled ""Backfire"".

Collaborations

Throughout her career, Lena has collaborated with many popular German artists such as Mark Forster, Marteria, Tim Bendzko and Max Giesinger. She is also an active voice actress with roles in animated films like ""The Incredible Adventures of Super Stanford"" (2019).
