Introduction

Lionel Ferro is a singer, songwriter, and producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is best known for his hit singles “Cuando Te Ví” and “Todo Lo Que Quiero”. He has released two albums to date, both of which have been certified Platinum in Argentina.

Early Life

Ferro was born on August 17th, 1989 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He grew up in the city and began singing at an early age. His parents were supportive of his musical endeavors and encouraged him to pursue it as a career. He studied music theory and composition at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música in Buenos Aires. He was also part of a local band during his teenage years.

Career

Ferro started his career as a solo artist in 2012 with his debut single “Cuando Te Ví”. The song became an instant hit in Argentina and he soon found himself performing on several TV shows. In 2013 he released his debut album “Todo Lo Que Quiero” which was certified Platinum by the Argentinean recording industry association CAPIF. The album spawned several other hits such as “Casi Perfecto” and “La Flor”. His follow up album “Universo” was released in 2015 and was also certified Platinum. Besides his own music, Ferro has written and produced songs for several other artists such as J Balvin and Sofia Reyes. He has also collaborated with international stars like Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, and Ricky Martin.

Awards

Ferro has won numerous awards throughout his career including a Premios Gardel Award (Argentinean Grammy) for Best Male Singer in 2016 and an MTV Europe Music Award for Best Latin Artist in 2017.

Personal Life

Ferro is married to model Valeria D'Ambrosio; they have been together since 2017 and have one daughter together. He currently resides in Buenos Aires with his family.
