Lou Bega is a German artist and musician most known for his international hit single “Mambo No. 5”. His real name is David Lubega and he was born in Munich, Germany in 1975. He began his career as a musician in the early 1990s, and was inspired by a range of genres, including Latin American music and hip-hop. He signed with RCA Records in 1998 and released his debut album “A Little Bit of Mambo” the same year. It included the single “Mambo No. 5” which reached the top 10 in many countries, including the United States.
