Marconi Union's Early Years
The three members of Marconi Union met while studying at college in Manchester. They began to work together creatively in 2002, experimenting with different musical styles and creating their own unique sound. The band self-released a number of albums and EPs throughout the early 2000s before signing with British label Just Music in 2006. This move saw Marconi Union's music gain international exposure, with their first major release being 2009's 'Distance'.
The Band's Later Years
In the decade that followed, Marconi Union released two further studio albums: 'Weightless' (2011) and 'Dead Air' (2016). They also featured on numerous compilation albums from various labels, collaborated with other musicians such as Helios and A Winged Victory for the Sullen, and performed live shows around the world.
