Who is Mark (마크)?

Mark (마크) is a South Korean singer and songwriter. His real name is Mark Yoon and he is part of the K-pop group NCT U and NCT 127. He was born on August 2nd, 1999 in Toronto, Canada. He debuted in 2016 with the release of his single ""City Lights"" with SM Entertainment.

Early Life & Musicial Career

Mark was born in Toronto, Canada and moved to South Korea at a young age. He has stated that he was interested in music from a young age, as his parents were both involved in the music industry. He began learning to play the piano when he was seven years old, teaching himself how to play. He is a self-taught musician who has written many of his own songs.

NCT U and NCT 127

In 2016, Mark debuted as a member of the group NCT U with their debut single ""The 7th Sense"". The group went on to release more singles and albums. In 2017, Mark became a part of the sub-unit NCT 127, alongside fellow members Taeyong, Jaehyun, Taeil, Doyoung, Winwin, Jungwoo, and Haechan. The group released their first EP titled 'NCT #127' in July of 2017 with the lead single ""Fire Truck"". The album was successful both domestically and internationally.

Solo Activities

In 2018, Mark released his solo single ""OMG"", which showcased his skills as a singer and songwriter. The single charted in South Korea and earned him recognition as a solo artist. In 2019, he collaborated with fellow NCT member Taeyong on their single ""Long Flight"". The duo performed the track at the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) that same year. He also appeared on the survival show Produce X101 in 2019.
