Meshuggah is a pioneering Swedish metal band that has been pushing the boundaries of sonic expression for over three decades. Founded in 1987 by Jens Kidman and Fredrik Thordendal, the group has gone on to become one of the most influential acts in extreme metal, with an influence reaching far beyond their home country. They have released nine studio albums and two live albums over the years, each exploring new sounds and styles while maintaining their signature blend of technical proficiency and musical complexity.

Meshuggah has won numerous awards over the years, including a Spellemannprisen (the Norwegian equivalent to a Grammy Award) for Best Metal Album in 2007 for their album Catch Thirtythree.
