Who Is Morada?

Morada is the musical project of José Manuel Martínez Valdez, a Mexican singer-songwriter and producer. Born in the state of Sonora, Mexico, José Manuel has been recognized for his distinctive style of pop music. Now 35 years old, Morada has released several albums and singles that have made waves across Mexico and Latin America.

Early Life & Career

Since childhood, José Manuel was a fan of Latin music. He began writing songs at the age of 12 and continued to pursue music as he grew up. At the age of 18, he joined a band named “Morada” which inspired him to use the same name for his own musical project. In 2005, he released his debut album titled “Morada” which included some of his most beloved tracks such as “Soy Como Tu” and “Dejame Decirte”.

Collaborations

Throughout his career, Morada has collaborated with some of Latin America’s most famous artists such as Paulina Rubio, Calle 13, and Ozuna. He has also performed at various festivals around the world including Rock al Parque in Colombia and Vive Latino in Mexico. In 2018, he released a single titled “Como Lo Hacemos” which was a collaboration with Colombian singer Fonseca. His most recent single is titled “Música” which was released in 2020.

To date, Morada has released five studio albums including “Morada” (2005), “La Vida Continua” (2008), “Canciones de Amor y Revolución” (2011), “Déjame Decirte” (2014), and “Un Momento Especial” (2017).
