Who is MUNA?

MUNA is a Los Angeles based indie-pop trio made up of Katie Gavin, Josette Maskin, and Naomi McPherson. Since forming in 2014, MUNA has become a force in the music industry, creating unique and powerful music that speaks to their fans.

The Early Days

The three members of MUNA first connected over a mutual love of music while studying at the University of Southern California. They began writing and recording together and released their debut single, 'Promise', in 2014. The song was an instant success and quickly garnered attention from the likes of Billboard and MTV.

Breakthrough Success

In 2016, MUNA released their debut album, About U, which was met with critical acclaim. The album spawned several hits, including 'I Know A Place', 'Winterbreak', and 'Loudspeaker'. Shortly after the release of About U, MUNA began to gain traction as a live act, selling out venues across the US and Europe.

Collaborations & Impact

Since gaining recognition, MUNA has collaborated with some of pop's biggest stars, including Charli XCX, Demi Lovato, and Lauren Jauregui. In addition to their own work, the trio is committed to using their platform to raise awareness for social causes such as LGBTQ rights and Black Lives Matter.

What’s Next?

Since their breakout success in 2016, MUNA has continued to develop as artists and show no signs of slowing down. In 2020 they released Saves The World, their sophomore album which further solidified their status as indie-pop stars.
