Early Life

Natalie Taylor was born in a small town near Los Angeles, California. Growing up, she was surrounded by music as both of her parents were musicians. At a young age, Taylor began writing her own songs to express her feelings, many of which would later be featured on her EP. When she was 17 years old, Taylor decided to pursue music full time. She dropped out of college and moved to Los Angeles.

Career

In 2016, Natalie Taylor released ‘Surrender’, the first single from her debut EP Sorry I’m Late. The song was streamed over 7 million times on Spotify and quickly gained attention from fans and critics worldwide. Later that year, she released the full EP to critical acclaim. Natalie Taylor went on to release a number of singles as well as two more EPs: The Ride (2018) and Peaks & Valleys (2019).

Influences & Style

Taylor draws inspiration from female singer-songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, Carole King and Amy Winehouse. Her music blends folk, pop and soul influences to create a unique sound.
