Early Life and Career Beginnings
Nicolas was born in New York City in 1990. His father is Chilean musician and composer Juan-Carlos Jaar. He began making music at an early age, playing drums in his father's band at the age of 8. He eventually began producing electronic music at the age of 15 and released his first EP, The Student, in 2008.
Breakthrough Success
In 2011, Jaar released his debut album Space Is Only Noise on Circus Company, which earned him critical acclaim from music critics around the world. The album featured collaborations with artists such as Dave Harrington, Will Epstein and Kandace Springs. It was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album in 2012.
Later Career
