Oh Polêmico is a Brazilian pop reggae artist. Born Carlos Eduardo da Silva in 1988, he has been releasing music since 2018. His music is heavily influenced by the Brazilian reggae scene, but also contains elements of hip hop, R&B, and soul. His most successful single to date is “Nas Asas do Amor” from his debut album “A Eu Vou”.

Life and Career

Oh Polêmico was born in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil, and started making music at an early age. He was heavily influenced by traditional Brazilian music such as samba, bossa nova and funk carioca. He eventually developed an interest in the reggae scene in Brazil, and began to focus on creating his own unique sound. He released his first single “Nas Asas do Amor” in 2018, which was met with positive reviews from both critics and fans alike. The single spawned a successful tour throughout Brazil which included sold out shows in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

Collaborations

In 2019, Oh Polêmico collaborated with fellow Brazilian artist Tauan for the single “Vem Me Ver”. The song was a hit with fans of both artists and was streamed over one million times on Spotify. Oh Polêmico has also worked with producers such as DJ Malvado and has been featured on tracks by artists such as Willianzão and DJ Zé Pedro.
