Park Ji Hoon's Background

Park Ji Hoon is a South Korean singer, dancer and actor. He is a member of the South Korean boy group Wanna One which was formed by CJ E&M through the 2017 reality show Produce 101 Season 2. He was born in Daejeon, South Korea on May 29, 1999 and attended Hanlim Multi Art School. Park made his debut as a solo artist on May 14, 2018 with the mini album O’Clock featuring the title track “Young 20”.

Career

Park Ji Hoon has been active in the entertainment industry since he joined Mnet's survival show Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017. After making it to the top 11 contestants in the show, he became a member of the project boygroup Wanna One. The group released their first album 1X1=1 (To Be One) in August 2017 and released their second album 1¹¹=1 (Power Of Destiny) in November 2018. After the disbandment of Wanna One in January 2019, Park Ji Hoon officially debuted as a solo artist with his first single album “O’Clock” on May 14, 2018. The title track of this mini album is “Young 20” which was produced by Black Eyed Pilseung. Later that year, he released his second single album “360°” with the title track “L.U.V” which was produced by Ryan Jhun and Rado. In 2020, he released his third single album “The W” with the title track “Wing” and his fourth single album “360° Pt.2” with the title track “I'm Not Over You”. Park has also appeared in various variety shows such as Master Key, Idol Room, Weekly Idol and Knowing Brothers.

Park Ji Hoon has achieved much success as both a solo artist and as part of Wanna One. He has won numerous awards including two Melon Music Awards for Best New Artist in 2018 and Best Dance Performance Solo Award in 2019. His music has also charted on major music charts such as Melon, Genie Music and Bugs Music. He has also held several successful fan meetings both domestically and internationally.
