P.O.D.'s History

Payable on Death (P.O.D.) is an American heavy rock band from San Diego, California, formed in 1992. The band's line-up consists of vocalist Sonny Sandoval, drummer Wuv Bernardo, guitarist Marcos Curiel and bassist Traa Daniels.

P.O.D's early releases were mostly nu metal and rap metal fusion of heavy metal with a rap-style vocal delivery and reggae undertones, but later changed their sound to alternative metal/hard rock after the departure of their original guitar player Marcos Curiel in 2005.

POD achieved mainstream success in the late 1990s and early 2000s with their albums Satellite (2001) and The Fundamental Elements of Southtown (1999). Their most recent album is Circles (2018).

The band consists of vocalist Sonny Sandoval, drummer Wuv Bernardo, guitarist Marcos Curiel and bassist Traa Daniels since its formation in 1992.

Their musical style has been described as alternative metal, rap metal, nu metal and hard rock; they have also been described as Christian metal or Christian rock because of the lyrics that focus on faith and social justice.

They have had several collaborations with other artists such as Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed), Marcelo D2 (Brazilian hip hop artist), Seether and Ricky Martin.

The band has released nine studio albums: Snuff the Punk (1994), Brown (1996), The Fundamental Elements of Southtown (1999), Satellite (2001), Payable on Death (2003), Testify (2006), When Angels & Serpents Dance (2008), Murdered Love (2012) and Circles (2018).

In addition to their studio albums, the band has released two live albums: Live at the Fillmore (2009) and Alive at Sturgis (2015). They have also released three EPs: Peace War & Love EP (1993), Draw the Line EP (1997) and The Awakening EP (2015).>
