Who is Samantha Fox?

Samantha Fox is an English singer, songwriter, actress, and former glamour model. She is best known for her pop music hits in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Fox began her career in 1983 when she was signed to Jive Records at the age of 16. She released her debut single 'Touch Me (I Want Your Body)' in 1986 which became a top 10 hit in 17 countries. Her subsequent singles were also successful, including her duet with Mick Jagger titled 'Do Ya Do Ya (Wanna Please Me)'.

Early Life

Fox was born in Mile End, London to parents Patrick and Caroline Fox. She attended St. Katherine's School in Wapping and then studied at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. At the age of 16, she was signed to Jive Records who released her first single 'Touch Me (I Want Your Body)'.

Career

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Fox had a series of hits which included 'Touch Me (I Want Your Body)', 'Do Ya Do Ya (Wanna Please Me)', 'Naughty Girls (Need Love Too)', 'I Wanna Have Some Fun', 'Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now', and 'True Devotion'. In addition to releasing hit singles, Fox also posed for numerous magazines including Playboy and Penthouse. She was also a regular on British television shows such as Top of the Pops and Live & Kicking.

Later Career

In recent years, Fox has released several albums including 'Angel With an Attitude' (2000), 'Samantha Fox' (2003), and 'Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree' (2005). She has also continued to act in various films and television shows such as Beverly Hills 90210, Baywatch Nights, and American Gothic. In 2020 she took part in the UK version of The Masked Singer where she was eliminated in the semi-final.
