Satomi (さとみ) is a 30-year-old Japanese singer, songwriter, and producer who has become a rising star in the music industry. Born Satomi Nishihara in Tokyo, Japan, she first made her mark in the music industry in 2011 with the release of her debut single “Futari no Hane”. Since then, Satomi has gone on to collaborate with other popular Japanese artists such as Miliyah Kato, Yuna Ito, Kana Nishino, and Ai Shinozaki. Her music blends elements of pop, R&B, hip-hop, and EDM to create an eclectic sound that is unique to Satomi.

The Journey from Tokyo to the Music Scene

Satomi began her musical career at a young age by participating in various singing competitions and festivals throughout Japan. She also took part in a few talent shows in Tokyo which helped her gain recognition among music industry professionals. In 2011, she was signed to Sony Music Japan's Ki/oon Records label and released her debut single “Futari no Hane”. The single was a hit and peaked at number 12 on the Oricon chart. She followed this up with the release of her first album “Dream” which featured some of her most popular songs such as “Maboroshi no Melody” and “Ai no Uta”. Her second album “Mirage” was released in 2013 and featured the hit single “Koi no Mahou” which reached number 5 on the Oricon chart.

Recent Successes

Satomi's most recent successes include releasing her third album “Colorful” in 2015 which included the popular singles “Kimi no Tonari de” and “Heartbeat”. She also collaborated with Kana Nishino on the single “Tsuki Akari” which was used as the theme song for the movie “Hirugao: Love Affairs in the Afternoon”. In 2016, Satomi released her fourth album “Dive” which featured the hit single “Koi wa Ameagari no You ni”. This song was used as the opening theme for the popular anime series “Amanchu! Advance”. Satomi has continued to release new music since then with her most recent single being “I Love You” which was released in 2018. With each successive release, Satomi has been able to cement her status as one of Japan's top female singers.

What's Next For Satomi?

Satomi is currently working on new music for her upcoming fifth album which is set to be released later this year. She has also recently announced plans to go on tour around Japan to promote her music. With her unique sound and captivating live performances, there is no doubt that Satomi will continue to be a successful artist for many years to come.
