Sofiane was born on June 21st 1991 in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. He is of Algerian descent. Growing up in a low-income neighborhood, Sofiane was exposed to rap music early on in his life. He was influenced by French icons like Booba and La Fouine, as well as American rappers such as 50 Cent and Eminem. At age 18 he began to pursue a career in rap music, releasing his first mixtape 'La Consécration' in 2012. The mixtape was met with critical acclaim and Sofiane began to gain recognition in France's hip hop scene.
Breakthrough & Success
In 2013 Sofiane released his debut studio album 'Je Suis Passé Chez So', which featured the hit singles 'Bandit Saleté' and 'Barcha Chouk'. The album was certified gold in France and helped propel Sofiane to new heights of success.
