Who is Tipe-X?

Tipe-X is an Indonesian punk rock band that was formed in 1996. The band consists of vocalist Mamet, guitarist Ricky, bassist Budi, and drummer Ipang. Together they blend classic punk rock with elements of pop and ska music to create their signature sound. Over the years, they have become one of the most influential punk rock bands in Indonesia.

History

Tipe-X was founded in 1996 by four high school friends. After signing a record deal with EMI, they released their debut album “Reality Of The Situation” in 1997. The album was a critical and commercial success, selling over 1 million copies. In the following years, Tipe-X released three more albums: “The Best Of” (1998), “Welcome To My World” (2001), and “Generasi Frustasi” (2003). In recent years, the band has continued to perform live shows and release new music.
