Early Life & Career

Tom DeLonge was born Thomas Matthew DeLonge Jr. on December 13, 1975 in Poway, California. He grew up playing guitar, skateboarding, and listening to bands like The Cure and The Smiths. He started his musical career in 1992 when he formed the band Blink-182 with Mark Hoppus and Scott Raynor. The band released their first album in 1995 and achieved major success with their second album, Enema of the State. After the success of Enema of the State, Tom DeLonge left the band in 2005 to pursue other projects.

Post-Blink 182 Projects

After leaving Blink-182, Tom DeLonge founded two bands; Angels & Airwaves in 2005 and Box Car Racer in 2002. Angels & Airwaves released a series of albums that achieved critical acclaim and commercial success. Box Car Racer released one album before disbanding in 2003. Tom also founded the multimedia company To The Stars Inc., which is focused on creating science fiction stories, films, and music. In addition to his music career, DeLonge has also written four books about aliens and UFOs.

Personal Life

Tom DeLonge married Jennifer Jenkins in 2001 and they have two children together. He has also been involved in charitable work for organizations such as Make A Wish Foundation and Stand Up For Kids. He has publicly expressed his beliefs about aliens and UFOs on multiple occasions which has garnered him criticism from some sections of the media.
