Who are Tony! Toni! Toné!?

Tony! Toni! Toné! is an American soul/R&B group from Oakland, California. The group was founded by brothers D'wayne Wiggins and Raphael Saadiq, along with their cousin Timothy Christian Riley. Their unique sound combines elements of funk, soul, pop, hip hop, and rock. It has been described as 'new jack swing', a style that emerged in the late 1980s and combined elements of rhythm and blues and hip hop.

Career Highlights

Since 1988, Tony! Toni! Toné! has released six studio albums. Their most successful album is the Grammy-nominated Sons of Soul (1993). The album featured the hit single “Feels Good” which was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. Other singles from the album included “Anniversary” and “Thinking of You”. They released two more albums before disbanding in 1996. They reunited in 2004 and released two more albums in 2013 and 2017.
