Who is Trapt?

Trapt is a nu-metal and alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California. The group was formed in 1997 and consists of lead vocalist Chris Taylor Brown, bassist Peter Charell, drummer Brendan Hengle, and guitarist Ty Fury.

Early Career

Trapt released their debut self-titled album in 2002. The album featured their hit singles “Headstrong”, “Still Frame” and “Echo” which charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Performance. In 2003, they released their second album “Someone In Control” which featured the single “Stand Up”. The album was a success and peaked at number five on the Billboard 200.

Later Career

In 2005, Trapt released their third album “Made Of Glass” which peaked at number nine on the Billboard 200. The album featured their hit single “Waiting” which reached number four on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. They followed up with their fourth album “Only Through The Pain” in 2008 which peaked at number twenty-five on the Billboard 200.

Collaborations

Throughout their career, Trapt has collaborated with various artists including Eminem, Lil Wayne, and Kanye West. They have also performed alongside acts such as Disturbed, Papa Roach and Three Days Grace.

Live Performances

In addition to collaborating with other artists and releasing albums, Trapt has also toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe. They have headlined tours as well as supported other acts such as Shinedown and Adelitas Way.

Throughout their career, Trapt has gained a loyal fan following and have earned several awards and accolades including a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Performance for their single “Headstrong”.
