Tuğçe Tayfur is a Turkish pop singer, songwriter, and composer. She was born in 1981 in Istanbul and rose to fame with her debut single ""Seninle Bir Damla Gözyaşı"" in 2002. Early Life

Tayfur was born in Istanbul on October 5th, 1981. She was raised by her parents in a middle-class household. From an early age, she was surrounded by music. Her father played the guitar and sang Turkish folk songs while her mother played the organ. She began taking piano lessons at the age of four and later studied at the private music school Muzik Marmara. By the age of 15 she had already written several songs of her own.

Career

In 2002, Tayfur released her first single ""Seninle Bir Damla Gözyaşı"" which reached number one on the radio charts. This was followed by her debut album Yalnizim Sadece which sold over two million copies worldwide. This success quickly established her as one of Turkey's most popular female singers. In 2003 she received the title ""Best Female Artist of the Year"" at the Kral Music Awards.

Collaborations

In 2004 Tayfur collaborated with Turkish superstar Tarkan on his song ""Kuzu Kuzu"". The song became a huge hit and reached number one on the radio charts in Turkey. She has also collaborated with other Turkish musicians such as Ferhat Göcer and Mustafa Sandal. In 2008 she released her fifth album Gölgem which featured several duets with Mustafa Sandal.
