Who is VTEN?

VTEN, real name Sarika KC, is a 19-year-old Nepalese singer, songwriter, and composer known for his unique fusion of traditional Nepalese music and contemporary sounds. His music has gained recognition from various award shows and nominations, as well as being featured on international media outlets. VTEN has become one of Nepal's most popular singers in recent years.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Born in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2001, VTEN began writing songs at the age of 14. He released his first single in 2017, titled “Kutu Ma Kutu”. The single was successful in Nepal, reaching number one on the country’s iTunes chart and gaining millions of streams on YouTube. After the success of “Kutu Ma Kutu”, VTEN released his debut EP titled “Kutu Ma Kutu II” in 2018. The EP featured songs such as “Mero Aankha Ma”, “Kina Kina” and “Sanjhko Bela”.

Breakthrough and Success

The success of his EP earned him numerous awards including Most Popular Song of the Year at the Music Nepal Awards 2018. In 2019, VTEN released his second EP titled “Mero Aankha Ma II”. The EP featured songs such as “Naachne Ka Shauk Hai” and “Chiso Chiso” which became instant hits in Nepal. VTEN went on to win Best Male Vocalist at the Music Nepal Awards 2020 for his single “Chiso Chiso”. He has also been featured in numerous international publications such as BBC News and NPR Music.

Latest Releases

In 2020, VTEN released his third EP titled “Mero Aankha Ma III”. The EP featured singles such as “Fulai Fulai” and “Yehi Ho Ta Pardaina” which were both well-received by audiences. His latest single “Jeevan Sathi” was released in 2021 to much acclaim. VTEN has gone on to become one of the most popular singers in Nepal due to his unique sound and captivating lyrics.
