Wolfgang Petry is a German singer and songwriter best known for his popular hits in the 1970s and 1980s. He was born on September 22, 1951 in Cologne, Germany. Petry grew up with a passion for music and started writing songs at a young age. His career as a professional musician began in 1975 when he released his first single ""Wahnsinn"". This single became a huge hit in Germany and soon after, Petry released his debut album, ""Verlieben, Verloren, Vergessen, Verzeih'n"".
Career
Throughout his career, Petry has released several successful albums including ""Goldene Zeiten"" (1984), ""Viva la Noche"" (1986), ""Auf einmal ist es vorbei"" (1988) and ""Möge die Straße uns zusammenführen"" (1989). In addition to his solo career, he has also collaborated with other artists such as Udo Lindenberg, Susanne Freytag and Claudia Jung. In 2003, he retired from the music industry but returned in 2008 with the release of the album “Ganz oder gar nicht”.
