The Loango Weave is found from Gabon, Congo-Brazzaville and the Democratic Republic of Congo into Angola. It is a small bird often found in palm swamp, mangroves, and savanna fringes near the coast. It is classified as ‘Vulnerable’ by the IUCN Red List and faces a high risk of extinction in the wild, mainly due to clearance of its habitat for human use.
