The Nimba Flycatcher is found in the hill forests of Côte d’Ivoire where it flies out from perches in the mid-canopy to catch its flying insect prey. This bird is classified as ‘Vulnerable’ and the species faces a high risk of extinction in the wild. Its song is a series of about 5 loud and proclamatory, down-slurred whistles, followed by a bubbly trill; “peeew-peeew-peeew-peeew-toytoytoy”.
