The Funk (Out of the Program)

The Funk (Out of the Program) is a track written in 2019 after I left a really strange group of international guitar teachers based in Chicago that I had been in for a number of years. It was kind of like a business mastermind group that started off great but became more and more cult-like and weird over the years. Eventually after several red flags I got out and felt a wave of freedom and new direction. I had not neglecting my music production over the time I was in the program; with this track I began again with renewed vigour! It is a rare track which is based around my guitar playing. I had recently got the Ibanez S-Series and a Blackstar valve amp the track was recorded on. Also around that time I had some 1-1 mentoring with renowned producer Funk d'Void which helped me hone the track.
