Joseph Harry Fowler Connick Jr., or simply known as Harry Connick Jr., was born on September 11, 1967 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was the son of Anita Frances (née Levy), a lawyer and judge, and Joseph Harry Fowler Connick Sr., a district attorney. From a young age, he already showed signs of musical talent, teaching himself how to play the piano at the age of three. He attended St. Augustine High School where he further developed his musical skills as part of the school’s jazz band.
Rise to Fame
In 1983, Connick released his debut album titled “Harry Connick Jr.” which was well-received by both critics and public alike. In 1988, he released his album “When My Heart Finds Christmas” which was certified quadruple platinum in the US. In 1989, he released his album “20” which featured his hit single “We Are in Love”.
