Kwesta was born Kiernan Jarryd Forbes in Katlehong, South Africa in 1988. His love for music started at a young age and he began writing rhymes as early as 12 years old. He went on to study Sound Engineering and pursue music full-time. After releasing his first mixtape in 2009, Kwesta quickly found success in the South African hip-hop scene.
