Who is Kyuhyun (규현)?
Kyuhyun is a South Korean singer and actor. He is best known as a member of the K-pop boy group Super Junior and its subgroups, Super Junior-K.R.Y., Super Junior-M and S.M. the Ballad. He has also recorded two solo albums and won various awards, including the Golden Disc Award in 2018 for his solo single album
Waiting, Still.
Early Life
Kyuhyun was born on February 3, 1988 in Nowon, Seoul, South Korea. At age 10, he was accepted into a preparatory school for the arts after impressing the judges with his singing skills. After graduating from high school in 2006, he enrolled at Kyunghee University to pursue a degree in postmodern music.
Career
In 2006, Kyuhyun joined the group Super Junior as their ninth and final member. In 2008, he participated in the first digital single release of SM Entertainment's project group S.M. The Ballad alongside other labelmates such as Shinee's Jonghyun and Girls' Generation's Taeyeon. In 2009, he became part of Super Junior's first subgroup, Super Junior-K.R.Y., alongside Ryeowook and Yesung; followed by Super Junior-M in 2010.
