Reggaeton artist Manuel Turizo, otherwise known as "MTZ," is an artist who pushes his musical boundaries to expand on his creativeness. Early Days Born in Monteria Colombia, music became Manuel's source of happiness from a young age. His brother received a guitar and as he learned to play the instrument, it became a source for the brothers to share their musical expression, he would sing while his sibling played. As a family, they inspired each other. His other influencers came from the likes of Daddy Yankee, Luis Fonsi & Bruno Mars, the American singer who is an artist he aspires to work with one day. Career In 2015, at the age of 15, Manuel moved into his brother's home, the twosome was dedicated to making music. They met up with a producer who gave them some instrumentals to work with. The following year Manuel self-released "Vamonos, Baila Conmigo" and "Una Lady Como Tú," the latter helped to expose the singer in Colombia and subsequently in the Latino reggaeton world. After being spotted by "La Industria INC," a Colombian management team who recognized his musical abilities, he released "Esperándote" under the label. To date, the song has reached over 770 million views on YouTube. Gaining traction as one of Colombia's up & coming artists, MTZ released his debut album "ADN" in 2019, it features various collaborations with the likes of Nicky Jam, Zion & Lennox, and Ozuna to name a few. Manuel Turizo is an artist who is keen to develop & expand his artistry. With his 2021 album "Dopamina," he hopes to penetrate "the happy hormone," an open-minded singer-songwriter who likes the idea of working with various artists and sharing musicality.
