Musicologo The Libro, also known as El Libro, is a Latin music singer, songwriter and producer based in the Dominican Republic. He's best known for his unique style of reggaeton and Latin trap that has gained him a loyal fanbase around the world.

Early Life and Career

Musicologo was born in Santo Domingo in 1989. He was introduced to music at an early age through his father’s love of Latin music. He began honing his skills as a musician by performing cover songs at local festivals and clubs. In 2009, he released his first official single, “El Que Sabe Sabe” which quickly gained traction on local radio stations.

Breakthrough Success

In 2012, Musicologo was invited to join the production team at J&N Records, one of the leading Latin record labels in the Dominican Republic. This opened up opportunities for him to collaborate with some of the biggest names in Latin music such as J Balvin, Bad Bunny, and Jhay Cortez. His most successful collaboration to date is with J Balvin on “Reggaeton Lento” which has over 500 million views on YouTube. His work has earned him several awards including two ASCAP Latin Music Awards for “Songwriter of the Year” in 2020 and 2021.

Musicologo has released four studio albums: “The Album” (2012), “Diferente” (2014), “The Collection” (2016) and “Dias de Fiesta” (2018). His latest album features collaborations with some of the biggest stars in Latin music such as Farruko, Becky G and Zion & Lennox.
