Who is Orangestar?
Orangestar is an indie rock band from Copenhagen, Denmark. Their sound is a mix of classic 90s indie rock and modern alternative rock, with a hint of psychedelia.
Formation and Early Career
In 2012, Anne Søeborg (vocals & guitar), Jakob Svendsen (guitar & backing vocals), Lars Pedersen (bass guitar) and Mads Dam (drums) formed Orangestar. The band began to tour extensively throughout Denmark, playing gigs in both small clubs and big festivals.
Breakthrough
In 2015, Orangestar released their debut album 'Tales From Another World'. It was well-received by critics and fans alike and soon became a classic in the Danish indie rock scene. The album spawned several singles that got played on both radio stations and streaming services. With their newfound success, Orangestar began to tour more extensively throughout Europe.
Collaborations
In 2018, Orangestar collaborated with fellow Danish bands Kaleidoscope Sky and The Apocalyptics on the song 'Escape'. In 2019, they released a joint project with The Humblebeasts called 'The Great Divide'. Both projects were widely acclaimed and increased Orangestar's popularity even further.
Latest Album
In 2020, Orangestar released their second album 'Futures', which was once again well-received by both critics and fans. The album spawned several singles that have been streamed on streaming services all over the world.
