Paul Wall, born Paul Slayton, is an American rapper and music producer from Houston, Texas. He first gained fame by collaborating with his close friend Chamillionaire on the hit single “Grillz” in 2005. Since then, Paul Wall has been featured on tracks with other popular Southern hip hop artists such as Mike Jones, Ace Hood, and Young Dro. Early Career
In 2002, Paul Wall released his first album, titled “Get Money Stay True” which was quickly followed by “The People’s Champ” in 2005. His first two albums were well-received and established him as a legitimate artist in the hip hop community. After signing a record deal with Atlantic Records in 2006, Paul Wall released “Fast Life” which featured collaborations with Pitbull, KRS-One, Too Short, and Bun B. Recent Success
In 2008, Paul Wall collaborated with Baby Bash to release the single “Break It Down” which was featured on both of their respective albums. The single earned them a nomination for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards. In 2009, Paul Wall released his fourth album “Heart of a Champion” which featured collaborations with Slim Thug, Scarface, and Lil Keke. Present Day

He has also collaborated with other Houston-based artists such as Trae tha Truth and Slim Thug on various projects. Outside of music, Paul Wall is also an entrepreneur and has invested in real estate, restaurants, and clothing companies.
