Priya Saraiya is an Indian singer, songwriter and composer hailing from Mumbai. She is best known for her unique blend of traditional and contemporary styles of music. Her work has been featured in multiple films and television shows, as well as on popular streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music.

Early Life

Priya was born in Mumbai in 1995. She developed an interest in music at an early age, taking singing and piano lessons from a young age. She also took part in several school-level singing competitions and won multiple awards for her performances. After completing her schooling, she moved to the United States to pursue a degree in Musicology at the University of California.

Career

Priya began her career as a session singer in the United States before relocating back to India in 2017. Since then, she has collaborated with some of the biggest names in Indian music, such as Raja Kumari, Divine, Nucleya and Naezy. Her songs have appeared on various soundtracks for films and television shows, as well as on popular streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music.

Achievements

In 2018, Priya won the Best Female Singer Award at the Zee Cine Awards for her song ‘Saanjh Ki Pighalti Jaaye’ from the film ‘Yaara’. She has also won several awards for her compositions for TV shows such as ‘Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi’ and ‘Kaushiki’.

Priya has released numerous singles under her own name, including ‘Saanjh Ki Pighalti Jaaye’ (2018), ‘Tu Nazm Nazm Sa Mere’ (2017) and ‘Maahi Ve’ (2017).
