Ramin Djawadi is a world-renowned German-Iranian composer, producer and performer of music. He is best known for his work on movies such as 'Iron Man' (2008), 'Pacific Rim' (2013) and 'Game of Thrones' (2011–2019).
Early Life
Ramin was born on July 19, 1974 in Duisburg, Germany. His mother is German while his father is Iranian. Ramin has two siblings, a brother named Armin and a sister named Niki. Growing up in Germany, Ramin developed an early interest in music. He started learning the piano at age seven, and by the time he was twelve he had already begun composing.
Career
In 1997 Ramin moved to Los Angeles to study music composition under Hans Zimmer. After completing his studies in 2002 he went on to work as a composer for various television shows, video games, and movies. In 2008 he composed the score for the Marvel superhero movie 'Iron Man', which was a major success and brought him further popularity. He also wrote the score for the 2013 sci-fi movie 'Pacific Rim' which received critical acclaim from both fans and critics alike.
