Who is Ronny J?

Ronny J is a multi-faceted hip-hop producer and rapper from Miami, Florida. Born Ronald Spence Jr., he began his career in 2012, producing for local artists in the South Florida area. In 2014, he decided to pursue a career as a solo artist and released his first mixtape “R.O.N.N.Y” which was picked up by several major media outlets. After the success of his first mixtape, he started to gain recognition and eventually worked with some of the biggest names in hip-hop including Eminem, Lil Pump, Lil Uzi Vert and XXXTentacion. His unique style of production has made him one of the most sought after producers in the music industry.

Early Career

In 2012, Ronny J started building his production catalog by producing for various local South Florida artists. In 2013, he released his first official single titled “Jugg Man” which was produced by him and featured on DJ Khaled’s mixtape “We The Best Music Group Presents: We The Best Forever”. Following this success, he released his second single “Bands A Make Her Dance” which was featured on Rick Ross’s mixtape “Rich Forever”. Throughout 2013 and 2014 he continued to produce for various artists including Ty Dolla $ign, Meek Mill, Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa.

Breakthrough and Success

In 2014, Ronny J decided to pursue a career as a solo artist and released his first mixtape “R.O.N.N.Y” which was picked up by several major media outlets including Complex Magazine and XXL Magazine who named him one of their “Freshman Class” of 2014. Following the success of his first mixtape, he started to gain recognition in the music industry and soon started producing for some of the biggest names in hip-hop including Eminem, Lil Pump, Lil Uzi Vert and XXXTentacion. His unique production style has earned him numerous awards including two Grammy nominations for his work on Eminem’s 2018 album “Kamikaze”.

Recent Projects

In 2019, Ronny J released his second studio album “OMGRONNY” which was met with critical acclaim from music critics and fans alike. The album featured several high-profile collaborations including Lil Pump and XXXTentacion who both appeared on the lead single “Luv U Better”. Since then he has continued to produce for various artists and has recently been working on new music with Travis Scott and Kodak Black set to be released later this year.
