Who is Ruri Wantogia?

Ruri Wantogia is a Japanese singer and music artist from Aichi Prefecture, Japan. She gained fame in 2014 when she released her debut single “Kimi wa Boku no Koto”, which quickly became a hit on the Japanese music charts. Since then, she has released two studio albums and numerous singles, all of which have charted in Japan. She has also collaborated with other artists, including rapper Kato Miliyah and singer-songwriter Yoshinori Abe.

Early Life

Ruri Wantogia was born on April 15, 1991 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. She began singing as a child and was inspired by her mother's love for music. She attended high school in Aichi Prefecture and at the age of 19, she decided to pursue a career in music.

Music Career

In 2014, Ruri Wantogia released her debut single “Kimi wa Boku no Koto”. The song quickly gained popularity and peaked at number 2 on the Oricon Singles Chart. This success led to the release of her debut studio album “Kimi no Soba ni Iruyo” in 2015. The album received positive reviews and spawned two hit singles, “Shiawase ni Naritai” and “Yume ni Mukatte”.

Collaborations

In 2016, Ruri Wantogia collaborated with rapper Kato Miliyah on the single “It's You”. The single peaked at number 3 on the Oricon Singles Chart and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). She has also collaborated with singer-songwriter Yoshinori Abe on the single “Yume no Naka e”.
