Saša Kovačević is a Serbian singer, songwriter, and producer from Belgrade. He is best known for his melodic ballads and upbeat pop songs. His career began in 1992 when he entered the music industry as a songwriter and collaborated with renowned Serbian artists such as Đorđe Balašević, Ana Nikolić, Aleksandra Radović, and many others.
Early Life
Before Saša started his musical career, he studied at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. After graduating, he started to work as a music producer and songwriter for many Serbian artists. In addition to that, he also wrote songs for several television series in Serbia.
Career
In 2006, Saša released his first album called “Ne Verujem” (I Don’t Believe). The album featured some of the most popular songs of that year such as “Zaboravi” (Forget), “Kao da me nema” (Like I'm Not Here), and “Ti si moj greh” (You’re My Sin). The album was a great success in Serbia and it earned him a lot of recognition. Since then, Saša has released nine more albums and performed all over the world. He has collaborated with other renowned Serbian artists like Ana Nikolić, Aleksandra Radović, and Đorđe Balašević.
Awards
Throughout his career, Saša has been nominated for several awards including the Radio Television Serbia Award for Best Music Producer in 2007. He has also won numerous awards such as the Best Pop Album Award at the Serbian Music Awards for his album “Ako želite da znate” (If You Want To Know) in 2011.
