Shaan Rahman is an Indian film music composer and singer who hails from the south-Indian state of Kerala. He was born in Thalassery, Kerala on the 3rd of December, 1983. Shaan has composed music for several Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films, including Thattathin Marayathu (2012), Ohm Shanthi Oshaana (2014) and Godha (2017). He is also a prolific singer, having lent his voice to many of his own compositions.
Early Life & Musical Education
Shaan started learning music at a young age, under the tutelage of his father, the legendary composer Ouseppachan. He went on to complete a diploma in music engineering from the London College of Music in 2008.

Shaan started his career in the Malayalam film industry in 2011, with the movie 'Brother's Day'. His big break as a composer came with Vineeth Sreenivasan's 'Thattathin Marayathu' in 2012, which earned him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Music Director.
