Who is Shy'm?

Shy'm is the stage name of Tamara Marthe, a French pop star who has enjoyed a successful career in the music industry since 2006. Born in Trappes, France in 1985, she started her musical career by participating in the TV show ""Graines de Star"", where she placed second. In 2006 she released her debut album, ""Mes Fantaisies"", which spawned several hit singles like ""Victoire"", ""Femme de Couleur"" and ""Je sais"".

Career Highlights

Following the success of her debut album, Shy'm released four more studio albums between 2007 and 2014. Her biggest success came with the 2009 album ""Prendre l'air"", which was certified 3x Platinum in France and spawned the hits ""Et Alors!"" and ""Si tu m'aimes"". During that time Shy'm also began to tour extensively throughout France and Europe. She has recently released her sixth studio album, ""Agapé"", in 2020.

Shy'm has collaborated with several notable French artists over the years including Kaaris, Vitaa and M. Pokora. She has also appeared as a guest on many other artists' songs such as Tal's ""Le sens de la vie"" and Black M's ""Sur ma route"".

Personal Life & Legacy

In 2009 Shy'm won the NRJ Music Award for Female Artist of the Year and she has been nominated for numerous other awards over the years. She is also a judge on the French version of The Voice since 2017. Shy'm continues to be a popular figure in the French music industry and she remains one of the most successful female artists in France.
