Who is Stonebwoy?

Stonebwoy is a Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artist who has made significant contributions to the African music scene. His real name is Livingstone Etse Satekla, and he was born in 1988. Stonebwoy's career began in the early 2000s, when he began making music as an independent artist. In 2007, he joined forces with Samini, a fellow Ghanaian musician, to form their own music label, Samini Music. Stonebwoy has since become a major figure in Ghana's music industry and has won numerous awards for his work.

Music Career

Stonebwoy's career started with his debut album, Grade 1 Album, released in 2011. The album was a success, winning him two awards at the 2012 Ghana Music Awards. Since then, he has released five more albums, all of which have been critically acclaimed. In 2015, he released his fifth album, Necessary Evil. The album featured collaborations with artists such as Vybz Kartel and Beenie Man and was well-received by critics. Stonebwoy has also collaborated with several other African artists, including Wizkid, Davido, and Sarkodie.

Awards & Accomplishments

Over the course of his career, Stonebwoy has won numerous awards for his music. He won nine awards at the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year. He also won four awards at the 2016 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) and two awards at the 2017 AFRIMMA Awards. In addition to these accolades, Stonebwoy was appointed a UN Ambassador in 2016 for his work in promoting peace and unity in Africa through music.
