Tracy Lynn Byrd is a 54-year-old country music singer-songwriter from Beaumont, Texas. He released his first album in 1993 and has since released 8 studio albums and has had several hit singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Throughout his career, he has also been honored with numerous awards including a Grammy Award nomination for Best Male Country Vocal Performance in 1994.

Early Life

Tracy Byrd was born on December 17, 1966 in Beaumont, Texas. He was raised in Vidor, Texas, where he grew up listening to classic country music. At the age of 13, he received his first guitar as a Christmas gift and began playing and writing songs. After graduating high school, he attended college at Stephen F. Austin State University where he majored in business. During this time, he continued to pursue his music career, performing at local venues and bars around the area.

Music Career

In 1993, Tracy Byrd signed a record deal with MCA Nashville and released his self-titled debut album. The album spawned four singles that all charted on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. His second album, No Ordinary Man was released in 1994 and was certified gold by the RIAA. The album’s lead single, “Holdin’ Heaven” charted at number 3 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Tracy Byrd’s third album, Love Lessons was released in 1995 and featured the hit single “The Keeper of the Stars” which peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Since then, Tracy Byrd has released five more studio albums and has achieved moderate success with each release.

Awards & Accomplishments

Throughout his career, Tracy Byrd has been recognized and honored with numerous awards and accolades. In 1994, he was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Male Country Vocal Performance for his song “The Keeper of the Stars”. He has also been nominated for three Academy of Country Music Awards and won the Academy of Country Music Award for Top New Male Vocalist in 1995. In addition to these awards, Tracy Byrd has also been inducted into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame and has performed at various charity events throughout his career.

Personal Life

Tracy Byrd is currently married to wife Michelle Carter with whom he has two children; a son named Hunter and a daughter named Breanna. When he is not touring or recording music, he enjoys spending time with his family as well as hunting and fishing in his free time.
