Tye Tribbett is an award-winning gospel music artist, songwriter and producer from Camden, New Jersey. He began his career in 1998 with the release of his debut album Life. Since then he has released seven albums and won six Grammy awards. His most successful single to date is “Victory”, which was released in 2010. In addition to winning several awards for his music, Tribbett has also been the recipient of numerous honors, including being named a Stellar Award recipient. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with several artists, including Kirk Franklin, Gloria Gaynor and Chris Tomlin.

Tribbett was born on December 12th 1976 in Camden, New Jersey. He grew up in a musical family and was inspired by his father who was a minister. He attended Rowan University where he studied music education and business administration. After graduating from university, Tribbett decided to pursue a career in music.

In 1998, Tribbett released his debut album Life and soon after began touring with other gospel acts such as Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams and Donnie McClurkin. His second album Stand Out was released in 2001 and featured the hit single “Victory” which earned him several awards and nominations. In 2004, he released the album Victory Live which featured collaborations with artists such as Mary Mary and James Fortune & FIYA. The album spawned two hit singles “I Need You” and “Hosanna” which were both top 20 hits on the US Billboard Gospel Charts.
