Who is Vusi Nova?

Vusi Nova is a South African singer-songwriter. He was born on the 9th of August, 1983 in Butterworth, Eastern Cape. He is best known for his soulful ballads and love songs. Growing up in a musical family, he was exposed to music from an early age. He started playing guitar at the age of 12 and quickly became proficient. By the age of 15, he had already written his first song.

Career

Vusi Nova's career began when he met with Sello Twalla, a music producer from Soweto. Twalla invited him to collaborate on a song which went on to become a huge hit. This success opened the door to other collaborations with other South African artists such as Dr Malinga and Zahara. In 2016, Vusi released his first album titled 'Manyan-Nyan'. It was an instant success and was nominated for several awards including the South African Music Awards (SAMA). Since then he has released 3 more albums and has worked with many other artists including Mafikizolo, Thandiswa Mazwai, and Khaya Mthethwa.

Collaborations

His most successful collaborations include 'Ndikuthandile' with Dr Malinga, 'Ndiyindoda' with Mafikizolo, and 'Akanamali' with Zahara.
