We Came As Romans is an American post-hardcore band from Troy, Michigan. Formed in 2005, the band consists of vocalists David Stephens and Kyle Pavone, bassist Andy Glass, rhythm guitarist Lou Cotton and lead guitarist Joshua Moore.
The Band's Early Years
In mid 2005, vocalist David Stephens and drummer Sean Zatorsky formed We Came As Romans. The band released a demo album entitled ""Demo 2006"", featuring three songs. Shortly afterwards, Zatorsky left the band and was replaced by Eric Choi. The band then signed to Equal Vision Records and released their debut EP entitled ""Demonstrations"" in December 2006.
Breakthrough Success
We Came As Romans released their debut full-length album ""To Plant a Seed"" on November 3rd 2009. The album peaked at #3 on the U.S. Heatseekers chart, #14 on the Independent Albums chart and #38 on the Top Rock Albums chart. The album was later certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Recent Years
We Came As Romans has released four more studio albums since their debut: ""Understanding What We've Grown to Be"" (2011), ""Tracing Back Roots"" (2013), ""Cold Like War"" (2017) and ""Wake Up"" (2020). The band has also released two live albums and an acoustic EP over the years.
