Yung Joc was born Jaques Berman Webster II on April 2nd, 1983 in Atlanta, Georgia. His father was a pastor and his mother was a school teacher. He attended Clark Atlanta University but dropped out before graduating to pursue his music career.
Career
Yung Joc began his music career by releasing mixtapes under the name “Joc da Player”. In 2005 he signed to Bad Boy Records and released his debut studio album entitled “New Joc City” in 2006. The album spawned the hit single “It’s Goin’ Down” which reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA. He went on to release two more albums with Bad Boy Records before leaving the label in 2010.

In 2012 Yung Joc released the mixtape “Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood” which featured guest appearances from T.I., Juicy J, 2 Chainz and more. He also appeared as a contestant on the reality show “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” from 2012 to 2014. In 2018 he released the single “Yeah Boy” featuring fellow Love & Hip Hop cast member Rasheeda Frost.
