Who is Zhavia?

Zhavia Ward is an American singer, rapper, and songwriter from Los Angeles, California. She began her career in 2017 after competing on the first season of Fox's singing competition show The Four. Since then, she has released several singles including her breakout hit “Deep Down” which was co-written by Grammy Award-winning songwriter Diane Warren.

Early Life and Career

Zhavia was born in Los Angeles in 2002. She started out singing at the age of three and began songwriting at age nine. In 2017 she auditioned for The Four and made it to the show’s finals. Following her success on the show, she signed with Columbia Records and released her debut single “Deep Down” in 2018. The single peaked at #25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making Zhavia the youngest artist to ever appear on the chart.

In 2019 Zhavia released her debut album 17 which featured collaborations with Quavo and Ty Dolla $ign. The album received positive reviews from critics who praised Zhavia's vocals and production. She has since released several more singles, including “Candlelight” and “Moodswings” which were both produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Timbaland.

Zhavia has achieved numerous awards and accomplishments throughout her career, including being named one of TIME Magazine's 25 Most Influential Teens of 2018. She has also performed at various events such as the BET Awards and Jimmy Kimmel Live!. In 2020 she was nominated for a Teen Choice Award for Choice Breakout Artist.
