With his sultry spin on house music, Anuman is hot, rising from promising to prominent in just a few short years. DJ residencies for Parisian nightclubs The Cirque Bonheur & Cocobeach parties and hit-maker status with Catwash Records and Intacto are already in his rear view, and he's now focusing on other aspects of his repertoire. As a young music lover living in the easternmost corner of France, Strasbourg, Anuman carefully compiled volumes of Eurodance, acid house and Detroit techno from the German radio waves. He turned on to club culture at the age of fifteen after a life-changing night at Achern’s Jailhouse Club, and the obsession truly began: turntables and records, CDs and digging, chopping samples in Soundforge and making beats on Reason and Fruity Loops. Years on the local club circuit with bookings in Germany and Switzerland moulded him as a DJ, but Anuman craved a new challenge, and started from scratch as an unknown entity in the capital, Paris. His breakthrough track « Change » for DJ W!LD’s Catwash Records in 2011 signaled his arrival. Gigs for many of Paris’ notable clubs followed, while Anuman developed a reputation as the underground intruder in the overground, with invitations to exclusive spots like Grand Palais, Terrazza Martini on the Champs Elysées, Palais de Tokyo and W Hotel, alongside music programming commissions for Be You (K) and Lee retail stores throughout Paris. Gulivert began spreading the gospel of good music further afield with his work for Tillmann Lauterbach fashion shows and appearances in the renowned clubs of Barcelona, Calvi, London, Turin, Frankfurt and Ibiza. Anuman has dozens EPs to his former moniker Gulivert, for labels such as Nite Grooves and Street King, acclaimed collaborations and remixes with artists like Boris Werner and Hector Couto, and close associations with fellow French house luminaries Gauthier DM, DJ W!LD, Chris Carrier and Phil Weeks. His visit to Burning Man in 2013 helped unearth his most authentic sound that has captured the interest of many clubbers and dj’s worldwide. His time on the Playa brought his honest and humble approach of music to the light and transformed his point of view from pure groove to something more suggestive, psychedelic, spiritual and sexy. Debuting his live show the following year on the infamous Robot Heart art car not only completed the circle, but also signaled that this promising talent had found his true voice. With his addictive sultry beats and feel-good vibes, he is now spreading the fun and the good word of music from Berlin to New York, London, Rome, Tel Aviv or Ibiza…
