Mayani Pelo Luhabanya, also known as Mayestron, is a Tanzanian-born Irish musician, filmmaker, and content creator, best known for his journey through multiple musical genres. Born on July 30, 1998, Mayestron began creating music in 2016 while he was still in high school in Ireland. Initially, he dabbled in rap music as a hobby before taking a brief break. In 2017, he made a strong return to the music scene with a project called Don't Wanna See Me, which featured the track Peaks. This marked the beginning of his more consistent music output. As his career evolved, he began to experiment with different sounds and genres, eventually making his mark in the world of Afrobeat. His major breakthrough came in 2021 when he was featured on Mama Sita by Promoter Musa, a track that introduced him to the Afrobeat scene. Following this success, Mayestron ventured further into Afrobeat, releasing tracks like No Matter and Mi Amor, both of which received positive feedback and solidified his reputation as an up-and-coming artist in the genre. With his mix of creative versatility and global influences, Mayestron continues to explore new musical territories, merging his Tanzanian roots with his experiences in Ireland to create a unique blend of sounds that resonate with a wide audience.
