Mayani Pelo Luhabanya, also known as Mayestron, is a Tanzanian-born Irish musician, filmmaker, and content creator, best known for his journey through multiple musical genres. Born on July 30, 1998, Mayestron began creating music in 2016 while he was still in high school in Ireland. Initially, he dabbled in rap music as a hobby before taking a brief break. In 2017, he made a strong return to the music scene with a project called Don't Wanna See Me, which featured the track Peaks. This marked the beginning of his more consistent music output. As his career evolved, he began to experiment with different sounds and genres, eventually making his mark in the world of Afrobeat. His major breakthrough came in 2021 when he was featured on Mama Sita by Promoter Musa, a track that introduced him to the Afrobeat scene.
